The terra-cotta warriors and the horses are one of the most important archeological discoveries of the last century. They were discovered in 1974 by some people digging in Xi’an. Therse soldiers are made of clay and seem to be ready for a battle. Thousands of warriors were found in the tomb of the emperor Zhen.

GENERAL INFORMATION OF THE CHINESE NEW YEAR

This festivity is also known as the Spring Festival, and it is the main Chinese event of the year. This celebration lasts for fifteen days at all, but the public holiday lasts for three days. During these days, the family gathers together and eat special New Year´s meals. Despite the fact that the public holiday lasts three days, celebrations keep going on during the entire holiday period.

Finally, this festivity ends with the lantern festival. This is a night of displays and painted lanterns. The most important activity during this lantern festival is the Dragon Dance. These dragons are usually made of paper, silk and bamboo; people hold them overhead and dance during their way along the parade routes.

So as to the chinese ney year in 2014, it will be the year of the Horse. It will be year 4712 on the Chinese Calendar . This year is very well known as he year of good luck; it is algo the sign of travelling, but mainly brings success. Chinese people have high expectations for horses and do not use them for farm work. It is said that horses can hel humans to win the battle. so, in conclussion, people who is born in the year of the horse is better known for taking care about their dressing, outlook and speech.

CHINESE CUISINE

Chinese food has always been improving since it was discovered, and it represents quite good China´s history. As time went by, many different recipes were created in each dinasty; however, the highest peak rwas reached with Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1911). Chinese society has always valued their own gastronomy, and due to that, they made an extensive research on medicinal food.
